  8. Producing very swift meteors (40 miles/sec),
  9. the Aquarids are believed to be derived 
  10. from none other than Halley's comet. They 
  11. generate long, glowing trails, many bright
  12. meteors, often yellow. The rates may exceed
  13. 40/hour. The Aquarids are best seen in 
  14. the Southern hemisphere. The Orionids in 
  15. October are believed to be from the same 
  16. meteor stream, crossing our orbit a 
  17. second time.
